Android Privacy Policy

Your library stays on your device

Favourites, presets, collections, saved listening moments, recent history, private stream addresses and settings are stored in the app's private storage. Just Apps Lab does not receive this library. Android automatic backup is disabled. You can delete individual saved items, disable listening history, or erase all local app data using Android Settings → Apps → JustBeats → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling does not delete files you exported yourself.

Internet connections

The bundled station catalogue can be browsed without a network connection. Live directory search and refresh connect to the community-run Radio Browser service (radio-browser.info). Search requests include the text you enter; the servers can also see your IP address and a JustBeats app-version user agent. JustBeats does not send an account, advertising ID or persistent device identifier, and does not report station-play events to the directory. We do not control Radio Browser's server logs or retention practices and cannot promise these requests are processed only temporarily.

Audio, playlists and station logos are requested directly from broadcaster and image-host servers. Those providers receive your IP address, the requested stream or image address and normal HTTP connection information, and may infer that you are listening to a station. Their own privacy and retention practices apply. Custom streams connect to the provider you choose. JustBeats requires HTTPS for its network connections.

Optional voice search

Voice search opens the speech-recognition activity supplied by your Android device. That provider may process speech on the device or on its servers, according to its own settings and privacy policy. JustBeats receives recognized text; it does not record or save microphone audio. You can type a query instead and use all listening features without voice search.

Backups and sharing

Exporting a library writes a file to the destination you choose through Android's document picker. A cloud-backed document provider may upload that file under its own policy. Private custom-stream addresses and references to those streams are excluded from exported backups. Import reads only the backup file you select and merges it into your local library. Station sharing passes a station name and link to the app you choose in Android's share sheet.

Accounts, advertising and analytics

JustBeats has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, purchases or cloud-sync service. Just Apps Lab does not build advertising profiles or sell personal data. Broadcasters may include advertising or other content in their live radio streams. The app does not request device location, contacts, microphone or broad storage access. Your chosen home country is a local preference, not a location measurement.

Children and third-party content

JustBeats is not directed at children. Live radio content is supplied by independent broadcasters and is not controlled by Just Apps Lab.

Support and changes

If you email support, your email provider delivers the information you choose to send to [email protected]. Include only what is needed to explain the issue. We use that information to respond to your request. You may ask us to delete a support conversation, subject to any retention obligations that apply. This policy will be updated when the app's data practices change.
